Our kits come with a Bluetooth-enabled MPPT charge controller. This feature offers a maximum efficiency of up to 30% more than PMW charge controllers. It also lets you monitor and control your solar production and battery usage. To access this ability, you need to download the app and connect to the charge controller to change your Lights’ run time.

We have two options for solar panel roof-mounted or pole-mounted racking. We do not provide the pole for pole-mounted systems. You can find a pole at your local hardware or building supply store. It will cost much less than what we can provide and ship. We will provide the specifications for the type and size of the pole you need.

How to pick the right carport lighting model for your needs

First, pick your zone on the left that corresponds with your location (shown in the map above)
Next, check the run-time hours.
The 8-hour option is more customizable and can come on at any time for eight hours daily.
The 14-hour run time is a dusk-to-dawn option.
How many lights do you need for your project? One light can function for two parking spots.
Under the model number, you’ll see the grouping of 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L, 5L, etc., which specifies the number of lights. 1L refers to one light (two spots), 2L to two lights (4 sports), etc.
If there is any shade where you plan to install the solar panels, a higher-wattage solar panel may be better for you.

Installation Tips

Make sure your intended location for the solar panel sees no shade between 9 AM and 3 PM.
When installing the panel, make sure it is facing solar south. South on Google Maps is solar south.
If you intend on installing the panel over 20ft from your light, please let us know in the contact form.

Solar Zones

Our kits are designed for three-day autonomy. In order to do this, we design for the amount of hours of peak sunlight a certain region gets in a day. Use the map to determine which zone you are in, and include that information in the contact form. If you are not sure which zone you are in, we can help you figure that out.
